What you don’t own about yourself can own you.

2. A person's hand reaching out to touch another hand.

In our minds, the parts of ourselves we ignore can control us. If you don’t own the dark, selfish parts, they will own you. If you don't face the part of you that feels never good enough, it will rule your life. If you don’t admit to the part that doesn’t trust others, it will ruin your relationships.

Think of your selfish side as a hidden master, quietly shaping your actions. When you ignore it, it shows up in your relationships, causing problems and loneliness. The feeling of not being good enough whispers that you’ll never measure up, holding you back from reaching your full potential.

Lack of trust is another strong force. If you don’t deal with it, it builds walls around you, making real connections with others hard. By not facing these parts, you let them decide how you act and live. Another example is anger. If you don't own your anger, it can burst out at the wrong times, hurting the people you care about. Or consider fear. If you don't face your fears, they can stop you from trying new things and growing as a person.

When you own these parts of yourself, things change. Admitting to them helps you understand and control them. By accepting your flaws and weaknesses, you take back your power. This leads to growth, honesty, and deeper connections.

In owning all parts of yourself, you find true freedom and become your real self. Embrace every part of who you are, and you will live a fuller, more authentic life.
